if you read the article, then you would know that it's not apples to apples. Again, assigning police, fire, EMS, etc... over a 26 mile stretch and putting water stations in areas that either don't have clean water or water at all vs. some police and four EMS in a football stadium is not even close to a comparison.

Sure... and I can tell you I've seen hundreds of times "regular" officials messing up downs, distances (aren't there some historic games where teams have gotten 5 downs on the goal line, etc...)? The "basics of the game" are called into question anyway. I watch regular officials mess up fumbles, receptions, blow whistles…
You're right. What Pereira also fails to point out is that there are holds that are LESS than that which have been called too, and have cost big plays. Heck, there are holds called in past years where there is no hold at all - same with roughing the QB, pass interference, the list goes on. I'm not sure Pereira is the…
